Statement of Faith-Doctrinal basis of the ministry
: The Bible
The Bible is the verbally inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative word of God.
The True God
We believe in the True God head, father, Son and Holy Spirit equal in substance and attributes (John4:24, John 1:17, 1Timothy 1:17).
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, his incarnation, Virgin birth, sinless life, his vicarious atonement for sin, his bodily resurrection, ascension, his personal, visible and certain return in glory and power.
: Salvation
We believe in Salvation by Grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. (John3:16, Romans 5:8, 12; Eph 2:8-9)
The church
Universal Church
A living spiritual body with Christ Jesus as the head of which all regenerated people are members.
Mission for the church
We believe that the mission of the Godly church is a fellowship of called out believers in Jesus Christ, Baptized by immersion in a Church of like faith and practice, upon their personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the observance of the two Church ordinances – Baptism and the Lord’s Supper as memorial. We believe also in the transformation power of the Gospel in the lives believes resulting into improved lifestyles.
Local Church
A local Church is a congregation of believes in Jesus Christ with equal rights and privileges. But such Churches shall adhere to the inter-dependence and mutual responsibility of the Church of Christ within the mission of Godly Ministries expressed in these articles.
The ordinances of the Church
We believe that Christ gave to the Church only two ordinances – Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Both of which are symbolic and teach spiritual truth. They do not impart any saving virtue to the partaker.
Baptism
We believe that Baptism should be administered only to those who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Baptism is by immersion only. It symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In like manner! It symbolizes the death of believer to his or her sins, and the new life in Christ. (Coloss.2:12, Romans 6:3-10)
The Lord’s Supper
We believe this to be a memorial ordinance to be observed by believers commemorating with Christ’s vicarious atonement for our sins.
Church and State
We believe in the distinctions of Church and state. However, children of God are to obey the state laws and leaders because they are God instituted. Every human being is responsible to God alone in all issues of faith. (Mathew 22:21; Romans 13:1-7, 7-12)
